Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and regular reactions on court had prompted commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced serve.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
He rescued four early-game chances in a tight third set before the Russian broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the win with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
